Skewers: Wooden or metal, for threading the shrimp. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
Tongs: To turn the shrimp skewers on the grill.
Basting Brush (optional): For brushing additional marinade on the shrimp while grilling.
Serving Platter: For presenting the grilled shrimp.
For the Marinade:
- 1 Lb Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 Cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 Cup Olive oil
- 2 Juice of lemons
- 1 Tsp Lemon zest
- 1 Tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 1/2 Tsp Black pepper
- 1/4 Tsp Red pepper flakes (optional for a bit of heat)
For Grilling:
- Wooden or metal skewers
- Extra lemon wedges, for serving
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Step 1: Prepare the ShrimpMarinate the Shrimp: In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the shrimp marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.Preheat the Grill: While the shrimp are marinating, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If you’re using a grill pan, heat it over medium-high heat on your stovetop.
