  • Tongs: To turn the shrimp skewers on the grill.
  • Basting Brush (optional): For brushing additional marinade on the shrimp while grilling.
  • Serving Platter: For presenting the grilled shrimp.

Ingredients
  

For the Marinade:

  • 1 Lb Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 Cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 Cup Olive oil
  • 2 Juice of lemons
  • 1 Tsp Lemon zest
  • 1 Tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp Black pepper
  • 1/4 Tsp Red pepper flakes (optional for a bit of heat)

For Grilling:

  • Wooden or metal skewers
  • Extra lemon wedges, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Prepare the Shrimp
    Marinate the Shrimp: In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the shrimp marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
    Preheat the Grill: While the shrimp are marinating, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If you’re using a grill pan, heat it over medium-high heat on your stovetop.
  • Step 2: Skewer the Shrimp
    Thread the Shrimp: After marinating, thread the shrimp onto the skewers, making sure to leave a bit of space between each shrimp for even cooking.
  • Step 3: Grill the Shrimp
    Grill the Shrimp: Place the skewers on the preheated grill. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are opaque and slightly charred. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp, as they can become tough and rubbery.
  • Step 4: Serve and Enjoy
    Plate the Shrimp: Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and transfer the shrimp to a serving platter. Garnish with extra lemon wedges and fresh parsley.
    Optional: Serve with a side of garlic aioli or your favorite dipping sauce.
