Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Cup Unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 Cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 Cup Spinach (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp Chia seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Blender: A high-speed blender works best to achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons: To measure the ingredients accurately.
  • Knife and Cutting Board: For slicing the banana and any other fresh ingredients.
  • Spatula: To scrape down the sides of the blender if needed.
  • Glasses: For serving the smoothie.
  • Straw (Optional): For a fun and convenient way to enjoy your smoothie.

Method

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
If using fresh berries, wash them thoroughly. If using frozen berries, there's no need to thaw.
    Peel and slice the banana.
  2. Blend the Ingredients:
In a high-speed blender, add the mixed berries, banana, almond milk, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup (if using), spinach (if using), chia seeds, and vanilla extract.
Blend on high until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more almond milk until you reach your desired consistency.
  3. Taste and Adjust:
Taste your smoothie and adjust sweetness if needed. Add a bit more honey or maple syrup if you prefer it sweeter.
If the smoothie is too thick for your liking, add a bit more almond milk and blend again.
  4. Serve and Enjoy:
Pour the smoothie into a tall glass and enjoy immediately. For an extra touch, garnish with a few whole berries or a sprinkle of chia seeds.
