- 2 Large eggs
- 1/4 Cup Melted butter
- 1 Tsp Vanilla extract
- Red and blue food coloring
- 1 Cup Fresh blueberries
- 1 Cup Fresh strawberries, diced
For the Toppings:
- Fresh whipped cream
- Additional fresh blueberries and strawberries
- Maple syrup
Step 1: Prepare the BatterIn a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.
