Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl : To whisk together the batter ingredients.
  • Whisk (or blender) : A whisk works well, but using a blender creates an extra smooth batter with no lumps.
  • Measuring cups & spoons : To ensure accurate ingredient measurements.
  • Non-stick skillet or crepe pan : A non-stick pan (8 to 10 inches) is ideal for flipping crepes easily. A dedicated crepe pan makes it even easier, but it’s not necessary.
  • Ladle or measuring cup : To pour the right amount of batter into the pan (about ¼ cup per crepe).
  • Spatula (or crepe spatula) : A thin, wide spatula is best for flipping crepes without tearing them.
  • Crepe spreader (T-shaped tool) : Helps spread the batter evenly for extra-thin crepes (not required but useful).
  • Offset spatula : Useful for spreading Nutella smoothly over the crepes.
  • Sifter or fine-mesh sieve : For evenly dusting powdered sugar on top.
  • Knife & cutting board : To slice fresh strawberries and other toppings.
  • Small saucepan (for melted chocolate or caramel sauce) : If you want to drizzle extra toppings.

Ingredients

For the Crepes:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ¼ cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Butter or oil for greasing the pan

For the Filling:

  • ½ cup Nutella or more, if desired
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries sliced
  • ½ cup whipped cream optional
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Chocolate drizzle optional

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Crepe Batter
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, whisking continuously to prevent lumps. The batter should be smooth and slightly runny.
  • Let the batter rest for at least 15-30 minutes (or up to overnight in the fridge). This helps the flour absorb the liquid, resulting in softer crepes.
  • Step 2: Cook the Crepes
  • Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat. Lightly grease it with butter or oil.
  • Pour about ¼ cup of batter into the center of the pan, tilting the pan in a circular motion to spread the batter evenly into a thin layer.
  • Cook for 1-2 minutes, until the edges start to lift and the bottom is lightly golden.
  • Flip carefully using a spatula and cook for another 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Transfer the cooked crepe to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter, stacking the crepes with parchment paper in between to prevent sticking.
  • Step 3: Assemble the Crepes
  • Spread a generous layer of Nutella over half of each crepe.
  • Arrange sliced strawberries on top of the Nutella.
  • Fold the crepe in half, then fold it again to form a triangle or roll it up into a log shape.
  • Dust with powdered sugar, drizzle with extra Nutella or chocolate sauce, and top with a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
  • Step 4: Serve & Enjoy!
  • Serve these Strawberry Nutella Crepes warm with your favorite toppings—extra strawberries, a sprinkle of cocoa powder, or even a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a dessert-like twist.

Notes

Make-Ahead Tips

✔️ Prepare the batter in advance : Crepe batter actually improves when it rests! You can mix the batter and store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Just whisk it before using, as some separation may occur.
✔️ Cook the crepes ahead of time : Make a batch of crepes, let them cool completely, and stack them with parchment paper between each crepe to prevent sticking.
✔️ Refrigerate until ready to serve : Store cooked crepes in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. When you’re ready to serve, just reheat and fill them with Nutella and strawberries!

How to Store Leftover Crepes

✔️ Refrigeration : Place cooled crepes in an airtight container or wrap them tightly in plastic wrap. They’ll stay fresh for up to 3 days.
✔️ Freezing : Crepes freeze beautifully! Stack them with parchment paper between each one, place them in a freezer-safe bag or container, and freeze for up to 2 months.

How to Reheat Crepes Without Drying Them Out

✔️ Microwave : Heat one crepe at a time for 15-20 seconds on a microwave-safe plate.
✔️ Stovetop : Warm in a non-stick pan over low heat for 30-45 seconds per side.
✔️ Oven : Wrap crepes in foil and heat at 300°F (150°C) for 5-10 minutes.
Now you can enjoy Strawberry Nutella Crepes any time, whether you’re making them fresh or reheating them for a quick, delicious treat! 🍓🍫✨
